Got Thoom?
I have enjoyed being super lazy recently and putting no effort into expenditures that involve leaving town-center. I think the all-thoom Lugubrion Exploration Group will be slow going for a while. Contrary to the sketch, we did good for one healer and three fighters. There were no departs and we killed a couple guardians.

Famous Last Words.
Evidence I will use to blackmail Daimoth if I ever compromise the honest values of traditional fighting! ie. When I am ready to transition from a good Warrior Thoom to a great one. He might have said something about repaying him double, but I wasn't really paying attention to that.

Possessed Amakua!
I joined Purple Haze in exploring parts of Gungla Island I have never seen before. I learned many things and the hunt was well organized. I was entertained and the Amakua (in the sketch) was a fierce beast.
Ps I have been trying a new format for my entries. Less words, more Sketches. It works, Im lazy. :P

Ethereal Plane and Darshak.
A nice hunt on Tenebrion's Isle or Venables Isle? No more snail races with hardcore Darshak patrolling the forest. We successfully made it to the outpost. This hunt was organized by Puddleby's Sheriff, Noivad.
A impressive Champion ability saves Manquilor at the last moment.
Darshak in the Ethereal Plane. Not good, not at all.
The organizer of the trip, Asenath, was investigating the unusual activity that was happening to the Ethereal Amulets.
North-East of Natas is the source of the deadly lightning. Twice the creature almost felled all the party, except for some hardy individuals like Lorikeet.

Hah, I have been lazy... Almost no hunts in two Zodiacs! Soon to be three. But I am finally training Natas-Detha! I was doing Regia for too long. I have tunnel vision for the 6th circle. Soon!

Drunken Darshak!
All seemed well in the Town Center this morning. There was quite a lot of discussion of training and which profession a new exile should choose, but all this good time was soon ended. A small force of drunken Darshak attacked we exiles. We were heavily outnumbered, but in their drunkenness, numbers counted for nothing. I thought this drunken lot would be interested in our renown and famous Brew Hut. But to my knowledge they didn't enter or steal any of the beer or ales.
After we killed them their suspected leader, Penn Venables gave us the similar warning to the one found on the dock, "Stay away from Venables Island!" He was taunted by exiles, but had no response. Though our force was somewhat underpowered we raced to Venables Isle after we saw a parrot fly over our heads at town! Even an Agratis joined in on this foray. Our group was very quickly overrun by a single darshak on South Vena's!
Soon afterward I saw the parrot fly off to the north-west, presumably in the direction of the new Darshak outpost. But our group was unable to pursue and from the west coast we saw a lot of upper tier 'shakies. A good challenge for a worthy group and possibly a new message held by a parrot.

No Healer, No Problem.
Melabrion's Isle, the northern part at least, is about conveniences. I like to think sometimes and when I did today, this was my thought, 'where can I learn from hunting, be accessible, and have high survival odds if things turn sour?' That place be Melabrion's. Sketched above in full glory are a couple fighters plus a single warrior, Thoom! There we were on the precipice of doom and falling! It was a beautiful thing to survive. Alas, we soon found ourselves on the great sea with two darshak ships on the hunt. And what did we do? We abandoned all reason and engaged in honorable sea combat. Both ships destroyed and curiously, only one in our group fallen (a Zo). That is all. LEG is coming up soon! Prepare yourselves!

What is becoming of TI?
It has been along time since I visited Tenebrion's Island. Our purpose on the island was to test our fighting skills with some of the toughest Darshak, at their outpost and near Tenebrion's Keep. The outpost is relatively new, and the only place I know of that is home to Darshak besides Ash Island. The outpost was built along the western beach of TI and it has frequent patrols from Warships, while some of the strongest in the Darshak ranks guard the outpost and docked ships.
The Annulus, the hole into the Ethereal Plane near Tenebrion's Keep is trouble. We could only get 2 snells near the hole with our group, and we still fought some of the toughest ethereal beasts known. I think I would like to further investigate the "hole" that leads to the Annulus, maybe I will organize something for it? I wonder also if the rest of the island has been explored to confirm that the Darshak are only located near the Hole and the Outpost?

LEG Trip 8 Report!
Either laugh or become really, really pissed? We chose the first.
The best advice is given after it's needed.
2 hours later! Huzzah! Progress! LOL!
Ask me about LEG trip 8, and I shall swiftly reply: No comment. That's not important though, what matters is this super amazing trip 9 proposal, which involves two groups: LEG and Ethereal Plane Group (EPG) or whatever they want to call themselves. It will work like this: LEG group activates Kyuem in Lugu's Keep, and the other group goes into Ethereal Plane and places and activates a Kyuem where the LEG Kyuem leads.

Back to KI.
It has been many moons since I last fought the good fight at KI. The hunt went smooth with very little mishaps. For being such a long time I was proud that I fell but few number of times in that 2+ hour excursion. Not pictured are Mujin-kun, Talin, Tip'ii, and Lorn Saken. And I guess it looks like I am back on track for rank-hunting once more.

Save Stora Soon (SSS).
Today was a historical event, maybe one of the most significant happenings in all of Puddleby History. The group, Save Stora Soon (SSS) was spontaneously formed and had a successful trip 1. Group members include: Eden, the Warrior Thoom and ShadowD, SSS healer and professional chainer. Through a system of elaborate mirrors and pulleys the group Save Stora Soon could see the precise location of Stora in the Dark Temple, who was presumed darkstoned into a undine before falling, as witnessed via the mirrors and pulleys by SSS leader, Eden. Trip 1 was an astounding victory.

MI and 6th Circle Test.
I have been studying a long time as most of you realize in my absence in Puddleby, but I am making my come back. I have been using this blog for a lot of Lugubrion Exploration Group reports, but now think I will start using it for regular and random daily events, which keep me entertained.
This morning I hunted MI for the first time in weeks with Natas and Han. My balance is quite appalling and I have been working on it for months now. Natas is teaching me Regia and as for the 6th circle test... I will pass it someday.

LEG Trip 6 Report
Success? Minutes after this sketch, Phroon confirmed the the Kyuem we placed went dull. Shown above is the second crew that fought a rough battle in the western keep.
Thoom Power!
The first crew, including the reclusive Cody. 12 strong.
The report: We are unsure at this point whether or not this was a successful trip. In regards to our fighting tactics in the western keep it's certainly the best achievement we have had in that arena. But our goal of placing and activating a Kyuem at first seemed successful and was later reported by Phroon that the Kyuem went dull, thereby hindering our efforts of reaching the Keep via Ethereal Plane (which meant all exiles regardless of race could have come).
The Kyuem was placed by Drablak and manually fed ethercles. It took 15 ethercles, roughly, to activate it, and included a second trip through the western section which was well fought and hard earned. We were unsuccessful with all attempted Sarir communications and do not know the results of our effort? So... successful or not, I think we will find out in time and we may have another trip to investigate this.
The turnout of Thoom was great and we are getting really good at clearing and taking back the western-section of the keep. Good work to all those that participated, and to all the other exiles that donated ethercles or gave knowledge to the endeavor, thank you.

Yes, it's true! LEG is going to Lugubrion's Keep to kick some butt and ignore the handfuls of warning given by Sarir, Lugubrion, and Exiles! (Or are we?) Come find out! Be there (Or be not Thoom :P)! Ok! Storm the keep and place a Kyuem! Victory or Death (or Both!)

The Female Thoom Crest.
A recent and hot controversy has begun in Puddleby in the last two days. The topic concerns the ability to dye the thoom rill, frill, crest, ah...whatever it's called. Female thoom everywhere are in outrage at this 'racism' in the Puddleby as the beauty salon will except payment for services it doesn't perform!
Ruairc needs to be placed in jail!
Even Journeyman Mystic, Fogtripper (a fen) gives his support!
Discuss it here. We the Thoom encourage you to stand against it, call the sheriff, major, president! Everyone!

A Dialogue with Lugubrion.
I organized LEG's conversation with Lugubrion by topic:
Introduction, West Keep, and Sarir.
Lugubrion says, "Greetings."
Lugubrion says, "We can meet in my parlor."
Lugubrion says, Lugubrion says, "We can meet in my parlor."
Lugubrion asks, "What is on your minds, honored guests?"
Phroon says, "You had dissapeared for longer than as seemed normal"
Lugubrion says, "I have been here all along."
Lugubrion says, "I do not often entertain."
Miser says, "Some of your own servants seemed concerned"
Lugubrion asks, "My servants?"
Miser says, "in the kitchen, particularly"
Lugubrion asks, "In the....kitchen?"
(Lugubrion glares.)
Lugubrion asks, "What were you doing in the kitchen?"
Phroon says, "I must apologize, we are an inquizitive race."
Eden says in Thoom, "We have entered the western keep if you could infer..."
Lugubrion says, "An honest race too, I see..."
Lugubrion says, "If you wished food you could simply ask my Sarir. They have been instructed to serve you."
Lugubrion says, "I'm very disappointed, you could have been hurt."
Lugubrion says, "The Sarir there are not entirely safe."
Lugubrion asks, "What did you wish to find, is there anything that I may help you with?"
Eden asks in Thoom, "The watery guardians a hazard to them?"
Lugubrion says, "The guardians are for your protection."
Phroon says, "We were looking for a maze. All your brothers have zodiac mazes inside their keeps."
Lugubrion says, "They have a maze, no doubt, to keep inquisitive people out."
Lugubrion says, "I'm pleasantly surprised no others have found a way past my barriers. I feared opening the passage."
(Lugubrion sighs.)
Lugubrion says, "I could have perhaps arranged a tour for you, if I had known it was that important."
Lugubrion says, "You have been very rude guests."
Lugubrion says, "I thought better of thooms."
Thoomilicious exclaims, "I've only been in the kitchen!"
Lugubrion says, "I'm afraid the kitchen is not as well-stocked as it once was."
Lugubrion says, "You say you spoke with the Sarir? They were polite and treated you well, I hope."
Lugubrion asks, "All of them were well behaved?"
Savior says in Thoom, "they are very polite"
Lugubrion says, "They need not be concerned if they follow my instructions."
Lugubrion says, "If they do, the guardians will not...bother them."
Lugubrion says, "I have fostered an inquisitive nature in my Sarir."
Lugubrion says, "They are trained to be much like thooms."
Lugubrion asks, "Unhappy, you say?"
Eden says in Thoom, "One mentioned being forbidden from Ethereal studies."
Lugubrion asks, "Who said that?"
Eden says in Thoom, "A kind Sarir in the library."
Lugubrion says, "They are forbidden even from speaking of their studies."
(Lugubrion looks thoughtful.)
Lugubrion ponders, "Perhaps I was wrong to trust that Sarir."
Savior says, "they didn't speak of what they studied"
Lugubrion says, "It is forbidden."
Miser says, "What he actually said is that few do any studies now"
Miser says, "implying more did beforehand"
Lugubrion says, "Yes, of course."
Lox asks, "So, what do they study?"
Lugubrion says, "The remaining Sarir studies...or at least studied, whatever it pleases."
Lugubrion says, "Except that which is forbidden."
Lugubrion says, "The other Sarir are forbidden from study, they have proven untrustworthy."
Lugubrion says, "The recent ethereal changes have made their studies dangerous."
Thoomilicious asks, "what's not forbidden to study?"
Lugubrion says, "That which is not related to the ethereal plane."
Library Collection.
Miser says, "A first edition of 'The Old Thoom and the Sea', quite a catch you have there."
Lugubrion says, "I have read it many times."
Eden says in Thoom, "A fine collection of many books in the library too. Many topics covered extensively."
Lugubrion says, "Indeed. There is much for the Sarir to study."
Lugubrion says, "They enjoy scholarship."
Eden asks in Thoom, "What subject does Old Thoom and the Sea cover?"
Lugubrion says, "It is a grand story."
Lugubrion says, "I would not wish to ruin it for you."
Pathfinding and Lugu's Childhood.
Savior asks, "doyou know Trillbane, Lugubrion?"
Lugubrion says, "Trillbane? No, I've not heard of any thoom by that name."
Savior says, "he is Fen, actually, learned in pathfinding. I have studied all I can from him... and seek to learn more. I wondered if you had ever studied the art of pathfinding?"
Lugubrion says, "I have no need of pathfinding."
Lugubrion says, "Seafaring, however."
Lugubrion says, "That is useful."
Miser asks, "Have you sailed to Peaceton perhaps?"
Lugubrion says, "Peaceton...I'm afraid I do not know much of your names. Names change with the centuries."
Lugubrion says, "I did travel some in my youth."
(Lugubrion smiles slightly, thinking of better times.)
Miser asks, "To the Mainland?"
Lugubrion asks, "To the west?"
Lugubrion says, "I believe so, yes. That was many years ago."
Poetry
Eden says in Thoom, "To add to that I one day would like to hear your poetry."
Lugubrion says, "My poetry? Oh no, you wouldn't want to hear that."
Lugubrion says, "It cannot compare to your great poets."
Lugubrion asks, "Would you care for some tea?"
Lugubrion asks, "Anybody else?"
(UI Tea ?) You need help drinking?!? You may need more help than you think...
Lugubrion says, "I am afraid I am not very prepared to entertain."
Lugubrion asks, "What else did you speak of with my fine Sarir?"
Ethereal Plane, TI.
Lox asks, "So, Mr. Lugubrion. What's been going on with the ether?"
Lugubrion says, "The ether has been calming. Although I still feel disturbances...they are diminishing."
Lugubrion says, "I have only sensed disturbances with the Annulus. I do hope you are leaving it alone."
Miser asks, "Have you noted the Darshak activity around Tenebrion's old keep?
Lox says, "There was some big booms, and then a crack into the ethereal plane.
Miser says, "They apparently stole one of his kyuems and made a mess with it"
Miser says, "blasting a hole right to the annulus, of all places"
Lugubrion asks, "Would you expect another place?"
Phroon says, "We are, but the Darshak are playing with it like a child plays with a toy."
Lugubrion says, "I have told you, the Annulus is dangerous and not to be fooled with."
Lugubrion says, "A child with a toy, that reminds me of some people...fine thoom."
Genmo says, "They have built a strange looking kyume"
Lugubrion says, "I doubt an untrained hand can do anything with kyuem but destroy their hand."
Miser says, "they did make a hole leading to the annulus already"
Lugubrion says, "Do not be quick to place blame."
Genmo says, "You should really take a look at it"
Genmo says, "I know Melabrion has taken over the mind of a Sarir before to do somthing like that"
Lugubrion says, "My Sarir are not as mindless as my brothers."
Genmo says, "Send a Sarir on your behalf or something"
Lugubrion says, "It is unwise to let them leave my keep."
Eden asks in Thoom, "Why?"
Lugubrion says, "I have told you, they are not trustworthy."
Lugubrion says, "They do not obey the most simple of instructions."
Lugubrion says, "I do not have the heart to discipline them as my brothers do."
Phroon says, "It worries me that the Darshak have somehow gained some ethereal knowledge, as if overnight."
Lugubrion says, "I do not fear untrained minds. I fear partially trained minds, they are the most dangerous."
Lugubrion says, "The ethereal flow is closer than it has ever been before, I am sometimes overwhelmed by it...."
Lugubrion says, "But I have not felt anything to be concerned about, except the chaotic storm of the Annulus."
Lugubrion asks, "Perhaps they will destroy the island. Do you have any use for it?"
Lugubrion asks, "Do you have any moral objections to killing them?"
Lugubrion says, "You do that well."
Lugubrion says, "I had wondered where my guardians had gone..."
Eden asks in Thoom, "You can produce more guardians?"
Lugubrion says, "Of course."
Lugubrion says, "But it is tiring."
Lox asks, "The darshak know a lot about the Astral Plane though. Is that important?"
Lugubrion says, "All planes are...important in their own way."
Miser asks, "Geharza?"
(Lugubrion raises an eyebrow.)
Eden asks in Thoom, "the plane of water?"
Lugubrion says, "There are many planes with water."
Lugubrion says, "Water alone is not very interesting."
Lugubrion says, "Water must have earth to flow on."
Genmo asks, "What would you say if there was something bad happning with the Geharza plane?"
Lugubrion asks, "Bad?"
Conclusion.
Lugubrion says, "I have enjoyed your visit, but I start to grow tired."
Phroon says, "Ah, let me ask one more thing, if I may."
Phroon says, "Back when you first attempted to give me a tour of this fine keep…"
Phroon says, "and ethereal forces forced us to flee…
Phroon says, "You used a shortcut."
Phroon asks, "Have you closed that shortcut?"
Lugubrion says, "It is always closed."
Phroon says, "We would like to see the ramparts."
Lugubrion says, "That is not safe."
Lugubrion says, "You may not understand the danger of the Sarir, but it is there."
Lugubrion says, "The plane is closer. And the Sarir's curiosity is strong. This is dangerous."
Genmo says, "You should give them a good beating just incase"
Lugubrion says, "Violence is not my way."
Lugubrion says, "But you should inform me of any..."
Lugubrion says, "dangerous Sarirs."
Lugubrion says, "I am certain I can trust you."
Lugubrion says, "I do hope you will visit again."
Lugubrion says, "Farewell."

LEG: Trip 3.
Lugubrion Exploration Group (LEG) Trip 3 Report:
Note: Trip 1 and 2, and presumably 3 are available for viewing at Phroon's Scroll. And most of my report is viewable at the Sentinel. The highlight of the trip was a discussion with Lugubrion on current and important recent events with the Ethereal Plane.
